The beds were very comfortable, and was nice to have a TV in the room. The ladies were very friendly, and let me use their kitchen utensils to cut up some fruit. The complimentary breakfast was lovely, and it was great having the room cleaned during the day. They also had a surf rack and an outdoor shower to rinse off. I appreciated how they kept the property locked as it made us feel very safe. Great location just a short walk from the beachfront and some great spots to eat.

Surrounding area was quite loud at night with some large bangs and some very noisy dogs - nothing though that the owners can control. Our shower wouldn't stop dripping water, even though the taps were turned off completely, and the toilet appeared to have a leak as the floor was always wet. Price was expensive compared to other locations in Peru, with additional charges added on top of the room price. This seems to be the case for all accom in Chicama, a rather expensive place to visit in comparison to other areas.

Unfortunately our stay was significantly marred by the overcharging of our room. Firstly they didn’t go off what booking.com said in USD and convert it. She just said this is the room rate, which was already above what we had booked. We were then charged an extra ‘commission’. We tried to discuss what this commission is for and they just said it was a commission. Tourists are except from the 18% VAT and she said no that’s incorrect, however we know for definite from reading government websites that this is correct. Very disappointing and ruined an otherwise nice stay. We ended up paying 82 SOL MORE than what we should have paid. There is no key into the property so you have to call the doorbell every time you want to enter. Very annoying and made us feel as though we couldn’t go out early or late.

We stayed 5 nights here and enjoyed it very much! The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. It also has a rack to store the surfboards and a shower outside. You can also hang your wetsuit to dry. The breakfast was also good and the room got cleanded every day. Would return anytime!

Breakfast was delicious - two eggs cooked to order and wonderful fresh bread. The daily juice was delicious.

We were originally sent a FINAL bill for 132$ for 4 nights (a reasonable rate). When we went to pay they claimed the bill had an additional 16% added on so our stay was over 150$ which was frustrating. Then they converted this amount to soles and added an additional 30$ on with our bill coming to over 180$!!! (225$ Candian). There is nothing more frustrating then getting surprised with extra fees and charges with little to no explanation, especially once your stay is over. This is a personal annoyance; especially when it happens at the end of your stay, and you have no choice but to pay the over charge. For these reasons I would take caution staying here and would not recommend this place. Also the showers are hot, then cold, then hit, then cold. So after a day of surfing don't look forward to a nice hot shower.

extremely clean, amazingly helpful staff, great breakfast, very close to the surf spot - chicama. so many restaurants around. the hotel has everything: surfboard rack, hot shower , nice view and capacious and cosy rooms to chill after surf session. very quiet and nice!
