The Yew Tree Inn

Great small hotel/pub. Fantastic huge breakfast and really lovely evening meal. The staff in particular were really helpful and we had everything we needed.

The rooms are quite small, but this is because it is a very old pub with rooms above.

I wasn't aware thee restaurant closed after lunch on a Sunday , however the owner arranged plan B for me.

The staff were very friendly and the food was good, and the room had all the necessities and are tastefully decorated. Tips for other travellers I would recommend this to travellers who don't mind pub noise and uncomfortable beds. The food was of a good standard - the dinner was a very generous portion

Overall my stay here was okayish but not good value for money - the beds are uncomfortable, flimsy, a bit squeaky and the headboard banged against the wall and the sheets were made of synthetic materials and are not breathable. There are some signs of wear and tear. The room was right over the bar so it was very noisy until about 9:30pm. I felt that the room was very over-priced for what I paid and that I would have got a much better standard of accommodation elsewhere. I wouldn't have minded so much if the price has reflected the value of the room - I would have expected to pay 40-50% of what I was charged.
