If a country getaway with peace and quiet and country hospitality with all the creature comforts is what you are looking for then this is THE place. Ryan and his team are exceptional hosts, and the house is perfect for a getaway. We're just sorry that we only get to overnight here as it feels as if we are abusing a privilege. Breakfast is cooked to order with all the trimmings, and the bread and coffee are really good. I have no hesitation in giving The Far Side Country Manor full marks. We will always use this as our new Midlands base. Perfectly positioned.

"Country Charm"

The photo's on the website do not do it justice. Our room was big, beautifully decorated, had stunning views of the countryside and dams. Lovely windows across the whole side wall and a free standing bath with views. I felt like a queen. Ryan was very friendly and helpful and Albem the chef was accommodating to our needs of having to leave early and was cheerful. I enjoyed the evening in the lounge by the fire listing to relaxing music and looking through the coffee books after having a delicious dinner at Fordoun. Would highly recommend staying at the Farside Country Manor.

I would suggest putting a blind of sorts on the window of the door, I like a very dark room.
