"Great old pub, comfy room!"

Great welcome from a friendly landlord. Cracking old pub full of character. Very friendly customers! Comfy bed & good shower.

Slight surprise that there was not a door between en-suite & bedroom - but then it’s a very ancient building & it would be difficult to fit one 😃

Charming little British pub and nicely sized room, staff was very friendly and helpful too! Very central and easy to find.

Our room (Number 1) doesn’t have a bathroom door which was a bit awkward and such a shame about all the bugs - spiders and even a small cockroach… quite a few spider webs too.

"We were there overnight following a festival."

The property is full of character, which means very narrow and steep stairs with low headroom. In a quiet location (no parking). Bed very comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room. Staff were great. Easy check in/check out. We were able to check in early.
