Innkeeper's Place B&B

The first-floor suite was very cozy, and the forced air heater in the bathroom was an added bonus. Shower fixtures were very convenient as the height was adjustable and offered a detachable head.

As this is a first floor/basement space you can hear the footsteps upstairs. Our host rose very early to prepare a wonderful breakfast.

There was not one dislike

I visited Stafford Springs for a field trip held nearby. The area is rural, with beautiful fall colors this time of year. The small town center has interesting architecture and shops. The Inn serves a delicious breakfast and they are happy to answer questions about the area. The Inn itself is an 18th century farmhouse. The accommodations are well appointed with everything you'd expect and more. I ended up visiting alone due to a family illness. I went out for what I expected would be a solitary dinner at a local restaurant but ended up at the bar with the friendly staff and other patrons. Really fun!

Inaccurate description of room on website. Shared living space. "Private" bathroom was on a separate floor from bedroom. Would hardly call it private if you have to walk past the dinning room and front door of the building to use your bathroom. Little to no instruction from host as to how check in works. Walked into the wrong room at first because there is no signage for front door of building and no instructions were given.

The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and area are lovely. We especially enjoyed the large table in the kitchen.

We stopped here to visit Old Sturbridge Village which was only about 20 minutes away, the area was overall very quiet and pleasant. Our room was very well decorated and maintained and the bed was extremely comfortable. We loved the bathroom setup and the antiques around the house. We enjoyed talking with the host in the morning and learning about the home and her antiques. Breakfast was delicious with coffee, orange juice, french toast and bacon. A vegetarian side would have been a nice option.
