Casa Ela Candelaria is the PERFECT spot for your stay in Antigua, Alvaro and his wife will welcome you in their house, the room was spotless the bathroom as well , they also have a very nice rooftop where you can have your coffee in the morning! Very amazing I’ll go there again and again

The location

The room does not have a fan and it gets quite warm in the room despite the windows being open. When I asked Alvaro through text he said he can bring one later that night which was totally fine. When we got back there still wasn’t a fan so I messaged asking if he put it somewhere while we were out. He said he can bring one in the morning and when I said it will be difficult to sleep and if there was one in an empty room or in another area of the house that I could get (just so I don’t have to disturb anyone), his response was the following: All right. You're asking for something that was never offered in the first place. “I'll let you go into a room to get a fan. On the second floor, at the end of the stairs on the left, there's a door. Inside, you'll find a fan. It's a tower fan. Take it! We'll talk tomorrow!” I found the response be quite unprofessional. Despite being able to get a fan, the amount of effort to get one and rudeness from the host was quite an unpleasant experience. The sheet on bed were also very thin and came off easily while sleeping and having to constantly have to adjust it so we weren’t sleeping on the plain mattress. Lastly, the light in the bedroom didn’t work either and with the amount of effort it took to get a fan, I didn’t bother with asking Alvaro to check it.

Warm, welcoming and helpful hosts. Located in a more quiet area of Antigua. Nice terrace with a great view.

Excelente comodidades en todas las áreas. Es una casa grande, con cocina completa, dormitorio sencillo pero prolijo, y una terraza con hermosa vista. Buena recepción. Zona muy tranquila.

No queda tan cerca del centro (10 minutos caminando) pero antigua es linda para caminar. Sino una mototaxi y ya!

Super liebes und herzliches Besitzerpaar plus Hund Nala. 🥰 Einfacher check-in Prozess. Die Terrasse ist schön und die Küche war sauber und gut ausgestattet.

Das Zimmer war ziemlich klein und die Zimmerdecke erinnerte uns an einen Keller.

Close to town, owners were really nice.

I just which there was AC or more fans available.
