The Black Dog Inn

Great little family run venture. Everyone we came across was very friendly and welcoming. The burgers we ordered were possibly the best I've ever had, and the breakfast was excellent!

Everything was great, if I was nit picking I'd have liked the bar to stay open a little later as it shut at 9.30pm

Excellent staff, room was clean and perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was great and made every effort to accommodate allergies.

Delicious breakfast, nicely presented and good quality ingredients. Easy to find the place and a car park.

The venue was rustic and traditional in the bar area. Good quality furniture and very clean. Tom and his staff were very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and we had an incredible stay. I’ve never experienced the level of customer service these guys offer, a hidden gem that needs to be praised and highly! Food in the evening and breakfast was 10/10! We do want to come back to this venue again.. I’d love to do dogfest but not this year as I’m booked but certainly next year… if they take booking that far in advance.

Lovely rooms which were very modern and clean . Excellent breakfast. Great location with parking . Lovely staff.

A bit cold in the bar area and at breakfast, needed the log burner feeding.

From booking to staying the owners and staff couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect and everything we need. Very comfortable and clean excellent facilities and the food in the bar was lovely. Breakfast was really nice and again they couldn't do enough nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely be staying again

Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated throughout . Well equipped and well heated double room with en-suite . Excellent breakfast offered . Super service too !

Cosy room, attentive staff and very tasty food. What more could you ask for?
