The Woolly Rock is a true hidden gem in the Scottish Highlands, tucked between breathtaking mountains that immediately slow you down the moment you arrive. From the second you step inside, you’re welcomed by Gaynor, whose warmth sets the tone for the entire stay. She shows you to your room, gets you settled, and somehow makes a place you’ve never been feel familiar. The B&B itself is cozy, calm, and inviting. It feels like coming home after a long journey, except you’re still on vacation. Gaynor and Mike know the area deeply and offer thoughtful recommendations that lead you to some of the most beautiful scenery you’ll ever see. When you return from a day of exploring, the room feels even better than when you left. The bed is made, fresh towels are waiting, and the space is warm and welcoming. Each morning starts with an incredible breakfast that leaves you happily full and ready for the day ahead. Everything is spotless, intentional, and clearly cared for. You can feel how much thought has gone into every detail of the experience. Gaynor and Mike are genuinely some of the kindest people we’ve ever met. If hospitality everywhere followed their example, reviews would be unnecessary

The only bad thing about this place is when it’s time to check out and leave. You will certainly not want to leave.

Easy to get to, great location!

Excellent breakfast, beautifully cooked and presented. Good choice of cereals plus breads for toasting. The property is well positioned for local visits to Glencoe & Fort William. Gaynor as an exceptional hostess.

The Woolly rock is situated in a great place ideal distance from Glencoe and surrounding areas it has been modernised inside. The rooms are done out very well. It’s always warm cozy and inviting.

Gaynor was een super host, heel vriendelijk, gezellig en flexibel. Ze reageert snel en gaf handige tips vooraf voor wat betreft restaurants en reserveringen, waar ze ons nog mee geholpen heeft ook toen wij geen telefonisch bereik hadden. De kamer is van alle gemakken voorzien en het ontbijt naar persoonlijke wens aan te passen. Ideale locatie om van hieruit Glencoe te verkennen.
