Chambre d'hôtes du Moulin de Landonvillers

The gardens were nice and the owners were very friendly. The dogs were very good with our two boys. There was a ping pong table to use.

Overall it lacks cleanliness. Everything is dusty with a lot of spiders everywhere. The abundance of knick knacks are dust traps. The decor is very DIY. The curtains are falling apart with age and couldn't close. There are no showers just a bath, for a quick stop over location this didn't make sense. You have to shower while sitting in the bath. We arrived when it had been for a few days 35c. The beds were made with heavy duvets and we had to ask for a fan. In the bathroom there was makeup from previous guests. The breakfast was disappointing, no croissants or pastries.

The bath was under a sloping wall and you can't stand for for a shower.

Breakfast was superb! Also the dinner we've booked in advance was fantastic!

The place is quirky and arty. We were the only ones in and enjoyed the free Nespresso (great after a long drive). The dinner was lovely and loved the views over the river and countryside.

Charming place and hosts, perfect for a pit stop with kids whilst driving across France. Great breakfast too.

We were extremely happy to book he mill (moulin). Both the breakfast & the evening meal was wonderful (it was extra) the room delightful looking over the millrace and the water meadows. We saw cranes, egrets, kites from the window. The owners were friendly. We would definitely try to return if/when we next travel on the A4. The noise of the weir masked the noise from the motorway completely.

More an observation than a complaint: whilst the A4 goes close by the mill, the junctions for Landonvilliers are not that near - so allow enough time to find its location!
