The property is undoubtedly beautiful and impressive. The exterior is meticulously maintained, and the interior is stunning — it looks like one of those houses you only see in movies. However, our stay was disappointing. The atmosphere is very cold, in every sense. Physically, we were cold at night: there was only a light, thin blanket, which was not enough for the weather. When we asked about using the pool, we were told it was possible, but no one mentioned that the water was unheated, so we couldn’t use it. And emotionally, the house felt cold too. We didn’t feel welcome. The staff were distant and formal, without warmth or hospitality. Breakfast was the simplest we had during our entire trip, which only reinforced the lack of care. On top of that, the access to the room was very difficult — we were given a room with four flights of stairs, and the last two were narrow and steep. For anyone traveling with luggage, this is extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable. Each listing should clearly state the number of staircases involved, as it really affects the stay and accessibility. The Wi-Fi connection was also very weak. Although internet was provided, we couldn’t connect or use it properly, and we had to rely on our own portable router instead. We’re on a road trip, and when we like a place, we usually extend our stay. Here, it was the opposite — we couldn’t wait to leave. The property looks great, but it’s not comfortable: the furniture is old and uncomfortable, the breakfast chairs had no backrests, and the overall atmosphere doesn’t invite you to relax. In summary, it’s a place that’s magnificent to look at and take photos of, but not to stay in. It’s not worth the price and we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, warmth, or a pleasant and easy stay.
