El Fogón del Duende

Nice room with bathroom and patio/terrace.. Very clean. With kettle, fridge, cups snd some tea/coffee. Nice view and not far (by car) to the beautiful city of Arcos. Very helpful owner recommended a good parking spot in the city as well as some very good places to dine. He opened the gate for us when we returned from the city around 11PM. The country road leading to the property was a bit tricky (bumby) for the first time (especially that google navigation lead us all the way around instead the shortest and best way). We managed with our Skoda Kamiq and and it shouldn't be too difficult for any car, just review the route before entering the country roads and ignore the No Traffic (residents only)⚪ sign if necessary. A/C and fridge were making some sound as they always do but we didn't need to use them... Thank you for the beautiful time

Wonderful place, great location and very nice hosts!

The proprietor Juan is exceptionally kind and charming. The bed was very comfortable. It was out in the country. The dogs are precious. It was very calm and enjoyable. Juan kindly and generously gave us a bag of fresh-picked oranges from his tree. They are fantastic!

It would be nice to have a few more tea choices and a couple of snacks in the room but that's very minor. There was an electric tea kettle and some instant coffee and mint or green tea. Travelers should note the rough terrain to get to the lodging. It's worth the effort though!

Really friendly and welcoming

The property and the room are amazing, and the owners are very kind and welcoming. It is like an oasis, with a really nice view of the countryside and some of the nearby town, Arcos de la Frontera.

The road leading up to the property is not paved, and has quite a few potholes in it. It is manageable, we arrived in a small hatchback, but you should definitely drive here.

El Fogón de Duende was exactly what we hoped for—a charming traditional Spanish farmhouse with a cozy guest room. The room was comfortable and clean, providing a delightful countryside feel. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, adding to the warm atmosphere of our stay. Conveniently located a short distance from the local town and offering ample parking, it was a perfect base for exploring the area. The rustic charm and hospitality made our stay truly enjoyable
