"Une claque de nature sauvage et d'authenticité"

L'île Rodrigues est une merveille de nature puissante et d'authenticité, tous lieux confondus. L'auberge Saint François est très bien située, c'est son meilleur atout car on a accès aux plus belles plages de l'île à pied. Les environs de l'auberge sont calmes et magnifiques, entre cocotiers, papayers et chants d'oiseaux tropicaux. En 10min de marche on se retrouve dans une nature sauvage rythmée par le fracas des vagues sur la barrière de corail. On est seul au monde sur une plage paradisiaque, c'est une expérience grisante. Les rodriguais sont extrêmement gentils et attachants. Temps de trajet à pied depuis l'auberge : plage st François 1min, anse Ally 7min (la plus belle plage de l'île), pointe coton par la côte 45min, anse Philibert 25min, Trou d'Argent et anse Bouteille 45min (superbes spots de snorkeling), anse Femi 1h. La terrasse en rez de chaussée du studio 7 ainsi que la salle du restaurant de l'auberge étaient super agréables. Nous avons passé de bonnes soirées à jouer aux cartes Le personnel est au top, sympathique et arrangeant (réservation pour île cocos). Les lieux sont maintenus très propres et coquets. Le rapport qualité/prix est très bien (14 jours pour 780€ environ pour 1 personne en septembre).

Les prix du petit-déjeuner et du dîner sont élevés. Nous avons choisi de faire la majorité des repas de notre côté à bon marché. Un poil plus de confort dans les studios serait le bienvenu : - absence de vitres aux fenêtres (insectes, manque d'intimité, bruits extérieurs, chants d'oiseaux le matin) - absence de volet sur la baie vitrée de la chambre, seulement un rideau opaque (réveil par le lever du soleil) - portes très fines.
