Le Roc sur l'Orbieu

Si l'accueil a été un peu froid car nous étions presque en retard (quelques minutes avant 19H00), tout s'est fort bien passé ensuite car nous avons eu le temps d'échanger lors des petits-déjeuners (fort bons) en toute convivialité et bienveillance. La chambre que nous avions était top, cosy à souhait. Si l'on rajoute la terrasse (dont nous n'avons pas profité à cause du mauvais temps), cette chambre d'hôte est vraiment à conseiller.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which has truly unique roots and a special character you can feel right away. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel at home from the very first moment. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept great. We also really appreciated that we could stay here with our dog, which made the trip even more special. A lovely place we would happily return to, maybe this time in summer.

No real issues to share. Great place overall.

Alojamiento acogedor y con mucho encanto. Es una cabaña en el bosque, no apto para todos los públicos ya que los accesos son muy complicados.

La recepción por parte de la anfitrión ha empañado totalmente nuestra estancia. Si no sabes francés, te caerá un rapapolvo. Abstenerse!

I really enjoyed the ancient history of the place. Everything is very well maintained, the view is stunning, and the atmosphere is perfect. We weren’t initially aware of the connection to Cathar history, which was a lovely surprise.

The only thing I would say, and this is a very personal opinion, is that I would have fewer paintings on the walls in the room. But this is quite minor compared to the overall graciousness of the place.
