SAI´S GRACE

Mr Kapil sir and his family are the most warmest people i have ever met .He welcomed us with so much warmth and friendliness that made us feel absolutely wonderful. Sanju aunty and kapil sir cooked lovely dishes for us and i personally think that they cook best vegetables dish which were too tasty to deny.The rooms were meticulously clean and they took every step to make us feel at home.This place actually with all the warm feelings given by them it did become a 2nd home for us.He even arranged car for our travel arround Kalimpong .The comfort level he gave us is 110%.This is the best homestay in kalimpong so far i have stayed.Thank you al ot again Mr Kapil and his family to give us a beautiful time in kalimpong. Its truly a blessing from Sai Baba for us to find such lovely family and a beautiful homestay.

It felt like a home away from home. There is great vibes and energy in the place. The host Kapil da and his wife are really caring and professional in ensuring you get all the help since we are new to the place. The rooms were clean and the decor was great. We enjoyed the vegetarian food which is unique, there is sai temple where you can peacefully meditate and pray. The place is really calm and serene. You can go around many nearby places for trekking sightseeing.

A work station would be a great and indispensable addition to the rooms. The view was great, food was good, and everything was clean. There were some cockroaches in the room. We weren’t told about heater prices beforehand so it was awkward at the checkout to tell them we didn’t use that much and that we didn’t know. We still had to pay half of what the host initially asked for heater. Power goes off in the morning sometimes for a while.

Food was homemade and good. But the first day the best we remembered was that the host insisted us to eat a little bit from what was just made at home. Because we had said we ate late lunch. Were we sharing their food or was it separately made for us? The second night we ordered dinner and took as we liked, but not the first day. Then we just poured in a little from the bowls on the table, a little embarrassed, thinking we were sharing their food. It was also confusing because the host stood at the table looking down at us eat while not asking us to take second helpings and only after multiple requests to sit he moved away. He said he liked to watch people eat. We appreciate the homemade food and the complimentary puchkas and were happy to pay for both dinners but the confusion was avoidable. It is a learning for us to ask precisely as well. The biggest problem — apart from that the host keeps calling until you reach his home — was that he constantly judged us for our lifestyle and commented about how much we work, we are workaholics, and so on. The guests are not there to entertain the host. But he said he was unhappy with us, that we didn’t have any fun, just worked, were very quiet, and so on. And this is given that we spent at least 2 hours every day with them around the fire and while eating. But the comments were so personal and relentless that we ended up spending much more time with them than we had planned and felt like running out of the property as soon as possible. Given the host wants to improve and have a great rating, our suggestion would be that the best host is the one who let her guests be, give them the space they need, and be very clear about the charges. Rather than forcing upon them his itinerary, food routines, or ideas of leisure and exploration. The car needs to be taken out of the gate with a swift motion. Ours got stuck and they called the garage mechanic to pull it out. But the lady of the family was very helpful, kind & quiet.

The location was beautiful, the behavior of kapilji and his wife was like extended family. Food was prepared by them and they took great care of each and everything. Kapil ji personally arranged everything starting from car to guidance for local sight seeing. The food available on the property is vegetarian but delicious. There was a cosy chat every afternoon beside the fire before dinner. Perfect place to stay while visiting with family.

I couldn't say only within 2-3 sentences for such a wonderful stay we had in Sais Grace, From day 1 how they welcomed us and the last day when they see off us. Only in these two days we became a family with their love respect kindness and care. There are some wonderful things which is unexpected from any hotel or homestay. If I can I will give 100 stars for the rating, such a wonderful person of Mr. Kapil and also his family. Room, bathroom, amenities all are not less than a 5 star hotel. This is the best Homestay I have ever had. Even next day when we came back from Rishyap towards Siliguri, Mr. Kapil booked himself a cab from Kalimpong stand for us , and waited for us to meet and say bye bye happy journey. Really such a wonderful person we meet 🥰🥰
