Villa Malpe

The Villa looks beautiful. Right in front of the beach, ticks all the right boxes.

The main approach is blocked, I had to call the manager multiple times to no heed. we ended up travelling another hour or so to go around the place to get there finally. Manager also has an uncomfortable sense of humour. While hospitable, ends up talking embarrassingly and sometimes is quite invasive of privacy.

Pros: Location, Ambiance, Comfort, Cleanliness, all of these things were great. A very calm place, access to the beach is very good. Beach is just few steps from the stay. Parking space is good, the villa is big and very well maintained.

Cons: In my booking it was mentioned that bed is 1 large bed, but it was not available and 2 small beds were given. When i asked manager he says they have given it to other guest as they have kids! Dude why did i pay money? I have also paid money to get 1 Large Double bed. If you have to give it for other customer on sympathy basis please keep few extra bed in stock. don't make other customers to sacrifice their comfort Breakfast!! Its included in package but its not at all good. I agree that there is no restaurant inside villa so verities will be less, but at-least offered Breakfast should be good. They cook and keep the breakfast and never bother to ask whether we want warm food! They prepared Neer Dose and and stocked them 20 no's and kept them to serve! Who eats cold dose? everyone expects it to be served hot and chutney was pathetic. They made Poori on day 3 of our stay, which they don't know how to make! Thickness of poori was like Partha. When I asked the manager, he says they are trying new things and experimenting! Guys please grow up customers are not paying money for you to try and experiment new things. Curry what they gave was told as aloo channa gravy but it was aloo channa rasam and worst part is green chilies were floating without even being cut. Along with stem or the head of chilly. Thank god i had breakfast only for 2 days out of my 3 days stay. Dinner was cooked by them based on request from multiple guests, Chapati, Dal, Rice, Sambar, Curd was made available and In this Chapati and Dal was decent but rice was pathetic. I believe they had added Soda to rice as soon as I ate 3 spoons of rice my stomach got bloated! so finally keep in mind that you are paying only for stay, and ambiance. Food is 100% worst. Advice to Villa Malpe is that please add a Restaurant in Ground floor with a good chef and make you Villa more enjoyable!

The Property has a yard in front followed by the beach, which is very clean as its secluded. All rooms have balconies, and has its own privacy. Coming to the hygiene, cleanliness the interior setup its one of the best in comparison to other places in Malpe beach. Food is delicious & homecooked, which has its own value. Owners also stay here in the Villa and they were very welcoming and were a great host to us, its a very kids friendly place in my opinion.

Fair market is a bit far, better to go in the evening time, have spicy street food and come back. easy to commute if you have your own vehicle
