Sandy's Homestay

The property is close to the airport, which is good for travellers having very early or late flights. The owner is very friendly and makes you feel at home. The rooms and common areas are nicely decorated with a local Jammu and Punjabi touch, making it a cozy place to stay. You have all the amenities you need, just like at home.

The homestay is a bit far from the main road, and taxi drivers don't know it well. You will need Google Maps to find it. There are very few breakfast options, which might not be enough for some guests. The biggest problem was the frequent power cuts, which made the air conditioning stop working. In night, even the backup power failed, causing a complete blackout for about two hours. It was very hot and humid, so we couldn't open the windows. The old window ACs didn't cool the rooms properly. We also had mosquito bites during the blackout, making it very hard to sleep. I found the hotel to be expensive for what it offers. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless these issues are fixed.

Sandy and his wife are wonderful hosts. They make you feel completely at home. We had lovely chats over dinner and breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. Would definitely recommend

It's a very comfortable homestay, one never feels suffocated...the way it is at high end hotels....home cooked fresh food is served always....no need to worry about health and hygiene....every aspect at this homestay is up to the mark....this is a once in a lifetime experience...do stay here...the owners are very caring helpful and classy....to me it's an honor that I met them....
