B&B Villa Maristella

Very good accommodation, good breakfast (the breakfast lady is so nice), a stunning location and a helpful and polite host. We had no transport ourselves and this seemed a bit of a problem at first because the nearest village is a while away and public transport is very limited. Then, Angelo helped us out and brought us to the nearest village multiple times. For this we are really grateful. As budget travelers we were also happy to be allowed to use the kitchen.

Nothing really. Communication was a bit challenging at times due to the language barrier but thank heaven for translation software.

The view is unique, you can see the Vulcano island from the garden. The owner and staff were super supportive: they picked us from the port, took the luggage and helped us to rent a scooter. One of the best experiences we have ever had. We will definitely come back.

This property is a little far from town but it's definitely worth it. The views are spectacular, and the hosts are some of the most generous I've ever encountered.

Be prepared for a long walk to/from town - but the hosts were happy to give us a lift on a couple of occasions.

The communication with the host was very smooth. He picked us up at the port and gave us a lift back for no extra charge. The room and balcony was spacious, clean and at a very good standard. The breakfast was really tasteful served by smiling lady in the glazed gazebo with a magic view.

Good room with fridge and private terrace situated in a luxury villa with friendly owners. I especially enjoyed the magnificent view in the morning (and the starry sky in the evening). It is a steep climb from the center, but the owner offers to take you from the ferry and bring you back there after check-out. I personally didn't make use of this offer because I love to walk/hike anyway.

If you don't have a car and go out at night, make sure to bring a flashlight because the route partly runs through unlit, uninhabited area. And for solo travelers (particularly female) without a car, keep in mind that you'll probably want to take a taxi back late at night as part of the route is very dark and deserted (no doubt it's safe but I got 'Blair Witch Project-vibes nonetheless when I walked up there one night on my own).

Situated on a cliff overlooking Lipari town, the scenery is spectacular! The room was comfortable and in good condition, and the complementary breakfast was expansive and delicious. They picked us up from the ferry and offered flexible check in and check out. We loved it!
