Pippo was very helpful, meeting me at the property and making sure I knew how everything worked. The location is good, not far from the cathedral.

Nothing, it was all good.

The owner is fast responding and punctual. The place is near the Ragusa cathedral and b/n Ragusa center and Ragusa Ibla. Good internet speed and everyday refilling of toilet paper and bin cleaning.

The room is on the ground floor and gives at an internal covered passage/court, so no good day light is coming. The window is a door and you cannot open it when sleeping or when out as there is no safety grid. There are cobwebs. No air-conditioner, but a fan is provided. The shower cabin is very narrow. The breakfast consists of packed rusk bread, portioned in plastic marmalade and packed biscuit with filling.

The host is helpful and friendly. He even drove me to the bus station.

Location was ok. Noisy in the room because one can hear ventilators in other bathrooms. Breakfast was poor (no butter, only marmelade, no fruit etc.).

B&B Tarasia was very conveniently located between Old and New Ragusa, about 15 minute walk from the train station. The en suite room was on the ground floor which helps for those with luggage (like me!) and there is a large well-equipped kitchen with basic breakfast things (kettle, coffee machine, jams and packeted pastries). Pippo, the owner, went out of his way to be helpful and we used Google translate to get by, as my Italian is very basic, but he met me at the train station in his car as l had asked how far it was to walk and on Sunday, when there are no trains, he took me again to the (further) bus station to get a bus to my next destination. For this l was very grateful! I would stay here again on another visit as everything was near perfect!

The only issue l had was with the wifi, which was non existant in the bedroom so l had to go to the kitchen each time l needed to use it. There was only a fan to use in the bedroom, but Ragusa was cooler than other places l had stayed in, so l didn’t need it.

The room was nice, everything you needed. Breakfast was self-service, put out ready for each morning to help yourself (packet pastries/French bread, jams etc). Location-wise, it was ideal for access to Ragusa Ibla - being that end of Ragusa - but close enough to restaurants (within 200m) where it was if you didn't want a lot of steps! Owner was very friendly and courteous, communicating via Google translate (for me, as very little Italian). Property was very good value.

The Host, he introduced himself as Pipo, was very friendly and thorough in explaining everything about the accommodation in detail. Pipo offered a cup of tea or coffee when I arrived, nice gesture and always welcome! I stayed for one night. Check-in and -out were uncomplicated. The place is clean, well equipped and close to eating places in Ragusa as well as the sites in Ibla

Parking is not as easy as one might want it to be but I found a spot - whether that was quite in accordance with the traffic regulations, remains to be seen. Breakfast consisted of tea/coffee and some packed, long-life pastries - not unusual for this part of the world
