Allessandro has created an extraordinary place and does everything to make you want to come back. Albavilla is anice and charming little village near Como and the apartment is romantic and comfortable at the same time. Alessandro ist the best host one could wish for: he helped us to find a free parking lot, to carry our luggage and presented us a wonderful self-made meal in the evening as well as a wonderful breakfast in the morning. We are sure to book again on our way further south!

Nothing Everything was great

Everything! The property is absolutely beautiful with a lot of character and the history. It is amazingly clean, spacious for a family of 4 and the location is nice too with a walking distance to the center of the village with some shops and pizza take-aways. The host are beyond amazing! Despite postponing our arrival due to traffic until late evening hours (almost midnight), Alex was very welcoming and we truly felt as comfortable as if we were visiting our friends. The property is absolutely amazing value for money you pay- in fact I think they could charge more for what they provide. Oh and it has been written here all over in the other reviews but honestly- if Alex offers you a meal there, definitely say yes- it is delicious and well worth the price.

There is nothing to dislike. The only issue we had was arrival- be careful when driving through the narrow streets around - your car may not fit through- but this is not the problem of the property of course. And the bathroom ceiling is a bit low at bathtub/ shower place so if you are taller than about 160cm you may need to band there a bit...or you can just take a bath instead. The bathroom was otherwise perfectly clean and the entire accommodation is so beautiful that this does not really matter.

The text message after I arrived inviting me to participate in a “tickle challenge” only for girls and women next door was SUPER creepy as was the “massage menu” (particularly as a single woman traveling with my two young kids). The owner - who is very friendly (see above) - entered the house twice through the side door without knocking after we’d checked in.Both times were to bring us something, but it was so unsettling I found it hard to sleep that night as I listened for uninvited guests.
