B&B Mariposa

Wonderful care from Angela, amazing breakfast, very good restaurant nearby.

The host was INCREDIBLE! We were greeted with a bottle of wine and great conversation. Breakfast was huge and delicious - the host went out of her way to get me gluten free items (celiac) and woke up at 5am to make the rest of our group warm pastries. 10/10

We chose this B&B for the balcony and sea view which did not disappoint. Breakfast was fabulous. Host was also fabulous. Onsite parking was a bit scary to get to, so instead we could park for free at the nearby restaurant (200m) which was more than satisfactory, especially as we had an excellent meal there (fresh fish!). Lovely garden. Room nicely decorated and spacious enough, although certainly not big. Can walk to a little beach (we did not do) and we recommend you do the Skywalk around sunset!

The host/homeowner, Angela, is what made our stay so special! From the minute we arrived she welcomed us with open arms, literally with a big hug. She helped us park (free parking a few steps away at her uncle's restaurant) and then was immediately concerned about whether we had eaten lunch. As we unpacked, she came to the room with a beautiful aperitivo platter and bottle of wine and encouraged us to sit on the terrace and take in the sea view. What a great start to our stay! That evening we walked to "the best restaurant in all of Maratea" - Da Cesare - and it was wonderful. We went back the next two nights. A big thank you to Ursula and Teresa who made our experience a delight. Angela provided a generous breakfast each morning, more than we could eat. She was so happy, hardworking, and eager to share. What stands out about this B&B is the terrific location for the area and a host that wants to bless you. A host that wants to make things convenient for you to have an enjoyable stay in her home. I don't know if this is the norm, but Angela brought wine and snacks the second day of our stay and did our laundry when I inquired about a laundry mat. We all were pretty sad when it came time for us to leave.

No complaints, whatsovever. I would like to add that the drive to Maratea from Castelmezzano was stunning. The mountains, the valleys, then that beautiful blue sea!!! B&B Mariposa sits in a very scenic spot in that region.

Angela is a sweet one-of-a-kind person who immediately welcomed us in her beautiful B&B. She made sure to make us feel comfortable and relaxed while also giving us the privacy we desired. The breakfast in her Mediterranean garden is spectacular. Angela prepared delicious home-made pastries which we could enjoy will sipping fresh coffee and enjoying the sea view from the garden. I highly recommend staying at Angela's B&B Mariposa! I am personally looking forward to be back!

Beautiful property and a wonderful host

Position, position and kindness of the host, marvelous views.

It is quite difficult to arrive to Maratea, one road is closed, but it is certainly not the host's fault. On the contrary, she was very helpful and nice to help us to get there.

Great location, fantastic host Angela, went out of her way to make our stay perfect. Gorgeous cosy room, great attention to detail beautiful ocean views. Seafood restaurant 200 metres up the road. Highly recommend this B&B Mariposa.
