We had a truly wonderful 6-day stay at Pietra Rosa — it exceeded all our expectations! My friend and I completely fell in love with the place. Nestled in the mountains, the property is surrounded by a beautiful multi-level garden filled with plums, lemons, avocados, chestnuts — it feels like stepping into a postcard. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful — all you hear are birds singing and the gentle sounds of nature. If you’re looking for tranquility, this is the perfect spot. The cottage itself is stylish, cozy, and impeccably clean. The beds were soft and comfortable, and the air conditioning made sleeping very pleasant. In the evenings, the property is softly lit, but you can easily switch the lights off if you prefer the quiet darkness of the countryside. Breakfasts were another highlight — fresh, homemade, and served on the terrace with beautiful views. While we enjoyed breakfast, the housekeeper came in for a quick daily tidy-up, which made everything feel even more cared for. Pietra Rosa is just an 8-minute drive from the sea, which made it a great base for exploring. But what truly made our stay special were the hosts — Maria and Gianfranco. They were warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. Thanks to their local recommendations, we discovered some unforgettable places along the Amalfi Coast and enjoyed fantastic restaurants. When we arrived, the gardener kindly helped us carry all our luggage up the steps to the cottage — such a thoughtful and helpful gesture that made the arrival easy and stress-free. As for the internet — the connection was a bit of an adventure! In some corners, I had a signal, in others only my friend did. Overall, the connection was slow, and there’s no Wi-Fi, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you need to work remotely. But if you want to disconnect and unwind, it’s perfect. There’s a shaded parking area below the property, and we never worried about the safety of our car.

It is a gorgeous property with a historic building and surrounded by gardens. The house has a prime view of the valley and the sea. We loved the hospitality of our hosts including a beautiful breakfast both mornings. Our cabin was well stocked with necessities and was decorated tastefully.

It was difficult to get to by public transport, but this was our own decision.

Breathtaking view, incredibly friendly owners, a great getaway from the chaos and enjoying yourself. We feel at home. Really. You really don’t have to pay a fortune to stay in Amalfi, which is also super overrated.

Not really. But it might be hard to reach with a big car. Roads are quite narrow (also for the whole region, not their fault).

We had a wonderful stay at Pietra Rosa, a very welcoming B&B located in a beautifully restored villa on the hillside. The setting is peaceful and scenic, and the attention to detail in the renovation is impressive. Maria, the owner, was incredibly hospitable and made us feel right at home. She also gave us some great tips for local restaurants and places to visit. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a charming and authentic experience

Honestly, the only downside was having to leave! Everything about Pietra Rosa was perfect — from the warm welcome to the peaceful surroundings. We wouldn’t change a thing.

The owner and staff were beyond helpful and amazing, the Renaissance building, the amazing views, the abundant breakfasts with espresso, eggs, homemade cakes, fresh fruits from the property. The casual, relaxed atmosphere was heavenly. The local restaurant recs were great. It’s very chill, like staying at a lovely friend’s special home. It’s the opposite of a place like Positano except it’s also steep.

The room Wi-Fi is not existent on the entire floor. smell from our bathroom sink was rank and pervaded the room. It’s a real hike up from parking to get to your room. It’s a tight drive to get to the parking lot, you park pretty tightly under a pergola with a handful of other cars, then you basically walk through a couple properties, going through a couple gates and a steep winding paved path of stairs spaces up. A guy with a sort of lawn mower carries up luggage. I’m sure it’s good for you!

Beautiful location and the hosts Maria and Manuela where wonderful. Good location to escape the business of the Amalfi coast, but still be close to all the tourist hotspots. Huge historical location in the mountains, with a nice breakfast under grape vines. The room is a small walk up, but the luggage is brought. We enjoyed our nights a lot.

Everything was great.

Breakfast options were minimal, but available options were very good. Owner and personnel were very helpful and nice.
