All' Ombra del Portico

Have been here before, so our previous review still stands. We ate back because the location is perfect to visit the centre of Bologna, and our friendly hosts offer comfortable, clean, quiet, and secure parking, including breakfast.

There is nothing really to do with the premises. But be warned, it is difficult to get a taxi back to our B&B in the evenings. You can call a taxi to get you into centre city, but back is a gamble and a long waiting time. We decided to walk back this time from Piazza Maggiore , a 49-minute walk on the flat, and it was very feasible ( saved €15) if you have no mobility problems. The bit of exercise was good after a long drive here and a dinner.

The host was lovely.

The whole building smelt damp and musty. The wifi was poor signal in parts of the apartment and I left after less than an hour to get a hotel. Host was lovely and cant fault her kindness but the room just wasn't as nice as it looked on the pics and the damp musty smell put me right off. Also was pretty dark down there even I Broad daylight. Just not what I expected unfortunately. Not much nearby in terms pf places to eat either.

lovely authentic hotel next to the beautiful San Luca gallery. Conveniently accessible by car. Private parking nearby. bus stop five minutes walk. Bus 20 runs to the center until late at night. very comfortably. the hotel is clean and comfortable. everything is great. the good lady prepared breakfast. We really liked everything! we recommend!

The location is very good, you can take a bus just +-10min away and it takes you to center city. The host is very kind, the room is very good for one or two nights (more then this you might want a bigger room with wardrobes and private bathroom). The breakfast was simple but very good too. And the parking is just in front of the house, in a dead end street with other "family" houses and not so busy.

The bathroom is shared and if your height is higher then 1,80m then you might dislike the shower cabin as it is very tiny.

In the apartment, you have everything you need. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was tasty.
