The accommodation is hidden high in the hills, but the peace and quiet is worth the drive. The accommodation has its charm and the breakfast was excellent. I only regret that we did not ask for dinner, because I believe it would have been delicious and authentic. We really enjoyed it here and I would come back again in a heartbeat.

There could be ham or cheese for breakfast. Everything is only sweet.

The house and the grounds are beautiful, and there’s a nice view to the sea. There are animals around to keep you company and pretty plants to see and smell. Dinner was really special. The food was interesting and very very tasty, and the setting in the garden was peaceful. For much of our dinner, a dog was sleeping on one side of the garden and a cat was sleeping on the other side. That’s a good life :) Breakfast was equally delicious. Finally, I thought Francesca was a truly good host. She communicated with us well prior to arriving, and she made us feel very welcome after we had spent the day hiking from Apricale. From the way they cared for us, I left Capanna Rossa feeling like I had just had a huge hug from Francesca and her partner.

Hidden gem in the middle of a forest. The place is exquisite in its essence. The rooms are classy wooden rooms , very comfortable. Ask to have dinner in the terrace. It will be the most amazing experience you’ll have. Proper home made Italian food. The house is rich in everything, with plenty of cats, some dogs and even a donkey. Francesca is the most sweet person.
