La Rometta

Ho soggiornato presso La Rometta per un breve viaggio e sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto. La posizione è fantastica, centralissimo, a pochi passi da tutti i principali punti di interesse, rendendolo perfetto per esplorare la città. La camera era spaziosa e molto pulita, con un letto comodo che mi ha permesso di dormire benissimo. Ho apprezzato particolarmente la gentilezza e la disponibilità della sig.ra Stefania, sempre pronta ad aiutare e dare tutte le informazioni. Vi consiglio di visitare questa struttura. Ci tornerò sicuramente!

WiFi slow in the room or non existent -- ok in the common room. Advertised as a B&B -- so where is the breakfast -- we had the B(ed) but none of the other B(reakfast) -- false advertising??

The location to the central part of the town was very convenient.

There are a large number of narrow stairs which you are required to climb to get to the top to reach a locked box before entering the suite. Balancing luggage and cell phone on narrow stairs, while texting host to get the codes for the keys was challenging! Also light in hallway would time out before we were to the top or leaving. The room was warm, and when we asked about turning on the air conditioning unit for a while, the host informed us that it would cost more, and it was broken anyways. The windows in the room need to stay open, and the suite faces a very busy noisy street. The pictures in booking.com show a large room with a couch area - but that is shared space by many other rooms and this is NOT made clear on booking.com. This is not actually a hotel - it is someone who has a opened up a common area and split off many rooms which are rented out. There is no host to greet or show you which room is yours. We were texted and asked to leave the city tax of 4 Euros in our room when leaving. We loved the town and the activity in the streets added to our delight.

Convenient for the town. Excellent jacuzzi bath (but a little difficult to get into for a shower). Spacious bathroom. Good advice from the owner for local visits

Layout of the room was a bit tricky. No coffee/tea-maker as advertised. Stairs were all very steep.

Landlady very friendly and happy to help. Very handy location. Very clean. The Jacuzzi is definitely a bonus, the bathroom is spacious.

You can hear people or the occasional car/van on the street very clearly if the windows are open, so it can be noisy if people are out and about late at night (although it can also be completely silent). If you are a light sleeper, it is summer, and you want to keep the windows open at night, this might be a problem. But there is air conditioning, so you can keep everything closed, if you want it quieter. Also, the stairs to the flat are very very steep and narrow. Ok if you have small suitcase and are fit, but definitely tough if you have big heavy luggage, or are frail/elderly.
