La Chambre des Rêves

A pleasant and cosy home with lovely decorations. The entire house was perfectly clean. Sweet breakfast included. The property has a private parking area. Located in a quiet neighbourhood and only a short drive from the town.

You are not allowed to store food in the fridge, which is only used for an hour in the morning to put yogurt for breakfast. Additionally, a note stating "Do not touch the breakfast area outside the allocated time" feels quite restrictive, essentially preventing to use the kitchen. Personal belongings are also not permitted in common areas—we brought our snowboard inside after a ski trip, and one of the hosts seemed angry, but we couldn’t understand her as she spoke Italian. Despite these restrictions, our stay would have been perfect.

The owner was super friendly and explained everything. The room was very clean. Complimentary bottles of water, hygiene stuff, towels, everything you need. Breakfast was very delicious. 10/10

The house is old with its spirit. Everything is nicely set-up. Spaciuos room with high ceiling, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Parking nearby. Good location and easy access to the city itself and other towns.

The host is really nice. She waited for us in front of the location and she understood English. The breakfest was a good surprise, very delicious.

The location is really bad. It is very far from the center (a lot more than 3km) and the road until there has a lot of potholes. When we arrived the host suggested us a restaurant to eat. Because the road was bad we decided to go there by walking (about 1.5 miles). We went to the restaurant at dusk. The surroundings looked really spooky, there were some dogs that were barking and I didn't know if they will attack us (coming from Romania, I expect the worst regarding dogs). When we arrived at the restaurant it was already closed and we had to go back. We were really angry because we didn't eat until that hour and we also went for a 15km hike during the day, so we didn't appreciate the extra 3 miles. The return was scarry, no lights excepting our headtorches and at some point the GPS suggested us a shortcut on an unpaved road. We saw a dog there and we had to change our route, my wife was really scared, she started to cry because we could hear barking dogs everywere. We are an active couple which loves mountaineering and phisical activity, but somehow the location looked dangerous and reminded us of the villages from Romania where I always carry a pepper spray with me. This time I let it in the car, thinking that we wouldn't encounter this problem in Aosta, but appearently... Of course, the night was ruined, there was nothing else to go and we had to go to sleep after we ate some chocolate bars that we had with us. However, I think we just had bad luck and the experience could be nice if you arrive early and don't expect to see anything open after 6 pm. The host should have known, though, that the so called restaurant is closed (it was actually a hotel with not so many options to eat, and without a car any other restaurant was just too far). Probably that if we didn't decide to walk and we had been there with the car we could find something.
