Serenity Homestay

Location is nice, but quite far away from the town. Owners are kind and are willing to pick you up from the town free of charge.

Mouldy rooms are not so healthy to stay in. Breakfast was every day worst and on the last day we saw that other guests were served with much more verity of food than we did.

Really nice quiet location away from busy Ella streets. Nice walking distance. A warm kind family to stay with, delicious breakfast and dinner with them. Room was spaceous and a comfortable bed with mozzie net and fan!

Serenity Homestay is a wonderful option if you want to avoid the more gentrified hotels in Ella. The big room windows face a lovely porch with a view to the fields. Here is where you can relax in the armchairs and have delicious home cooked meals. The owners were lovely and so helpful in arranging tuk tuk trips. We arrived late but they were kind enough to prepare us a wonderful curry. We loved the companionship of the house puppy and the neighbors cat. It seems far from the centre but it is really near if you take a shortcut while you enjoy the view. One of the nicest stays in our trip to Sri Lanka.

Single bed mosquito net was difficult to use. Single bed frame was very short

A little outside but this doesn't bother it is a 15 minute walk

Lovely owners, available to help you in any moment. Room comfortable and very clean. Super breakfast. Love it! Consider that you have to walk, but this guarantee to you to be far from crowd and loghts, making more suggestive your permanence in Ella.

We had really nice time in this accomodation. Tha family welcome us with the tea and cookies and was very friendly. This house has a very nice terrace where you can chill, have dinner or practise a yoga. The rooms are eqquiped with the mosquito neta, fans clean towels and bed sheets. The best thing there-breakfast. We had the best coconut pancakes(we tried a lot of them before). It was so delicious. Everyday the breakfast was tasty and big. We also appreciated the laundry service they offer. The internet was sometimes not working good. (but its actually happening everywhere). The accomodation is 20 min. walking from the main steet in Ella but we liked to have a walking so no problem for us. We really recommend this accomodation for your stay in Ella!
