Neo Grand Villa

We had a beautiful stay here. The room was amazing and very clean. The breakfast was also very good. We first booked 2 nights and ended up staying 5. The hosts are very friendly.

I had booked 5 nights and on the evening of the second night they threatened me with the police and told me to check out the next morning because I complained that the neighbor was burning plastic waste mixed with garden waste in front of my room from morning till night. It was a small fire during the day and then a really big one at night, as you can see from my attached photos and videos. When I returned to my room in the evening, it was full of carcinogenic plastic smoke despite the windows being closed. I then complained. The owner of Neo Grand then called the neighbor and asked me if I had been drinking. Why? Does he think that only drunk people complain when they are poisoned? Unbelievable. Then the owner of Neo Grand and the trash-burning neighbor threatened me with the police and told me to check out the next morning. The poisonous fire then burned until the next morning, in other words for 24 hours. The owner of Neo Grand brazenly tried to charge me a 3rd night the next day because I checked out at 12am instead of 10am after the sleepless 2nd night. He told Booking.com that I had canceled, probably so that I couldn't write a review there. Take a look at the photos and videos and avoid Neo Grand at all costs if you don't want to get cancer. Apart from that, the light in my room was extremely flickering, to which the owner just grinned and said "a bit". The next morning, the lock on the room door broke and could no longer be locked.

This was the best and cleanest acommodation we had on SriLanka. Comfy beds, great AC and clean bathroom. Host was very nice and arranged sooters and safari for us. Breakfasts were just the best part.

The owner and his wife were so, so kind and very helpful and they speak both English and Korean well. The location is quite good even though it's not in the Galle Fort center and it is near a bus stop that will bring you there. The rooms were the most comfortable ones I have been in so far and had mosquito nets, multiple outlets, and air conditioning that worked very well. I ended up extending for another night. Breakfast is great too.

No WiFi (though they never claimed to have WiFi so that's fine)

Cannot find a fault with this place. Exceptional room: clean, good air con, fan, mosquito net. Amazing bathroom with toiletries and the best shower pressure and temperature we had in the whole of Sri Lanka. Great location just outside of Galle in a quiet street. And to top it off, the family are such friendly and helpful people. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Everything was brilliant. I arrived at 6am, I wasn't supposed to arrive until 11am, after my tour in Marissa was cancelled due to weather however I was accommodated instantly and nothing was to much trouble for the owners. Bed comfy, shower brilliant. You are 5-10 mins from the fort but next door neighbour of property is available at all times take you and pick you to where you need to go. Brilliant service.

Nothing to dislike. Great stay, great facilities, great owners.

great value for money, rooms/bathrooms were extremely clean and modern - made you feel like you were staying in a new hotel, owners were really friendly and helpful, beds were comfortable and had mosquito nets. we were so happy with our stay :)

a little bit further from galle fort but tuk tuks and taxis are cheap enough and the accomodation will help you to organise anything anyways!
