Ta’ Giljan B&B Gozo

Positiv hervorheben möchte ich die schöne Aussicht und die Ruhe vom Balkon, den Pool zur Mitbenutzung, das abwechslungsreiche und gesunde Frühstück sowie die neuen Handtücher. Auch die unkomplizierte Parksituation auf der Straße und der Supermarkt in nur einer Minute Fußweg waren sehr praktisch. Ornella selbst ist freundlich, und ihr Kater trug ebenfalls zur besonderen Atmosphäre bei. Die lage ist toll denn man erreich xaghra in 15min fußweg marsalforn in 5min mit dem auto und nach victoria ca 10-15min

Wir waren während des großen Festes um den 15. August dort. Die lauten Böllerschüsse, die zum Brauch gehören, waren zwar unangenehm, hatten aber wenig mit der Unterkunft zu tun. Leider kühlte die Klimaanlage kaum, sodass es nachts zugleich heiß und kühl wirkte. Am Waschbecken gab es nur heißes Wasser. Die Gastgeberin Ornella wohnt im selben Haus, wodurch es sich manchmal so anfühlte, als sei man eher zu Besuch bei ihr – jedes Essen oder Verweilen am Pool wirkte, als greife man in ihre Privatsphäre ein. Das ist ein Nachteil, weshalb der Preis aus meiner Sicht niedriger angesetzt sein sollte.

Wir waren sechs Tage auf Gozo, was für diese Insel ideal ist. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr nahe zur Ramla Bay, welche man mit dem Auto in fünf Minuten erreichen kann. Auch Marsalforn ist in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Genauso gut kann man aber auch abends zum Essen von der Unterkunft zu Fuß (15 Minuten) nach Marsalforn laufen und anschließend entweder wieder zurücklaufen oder auch den Bus nehmen. Insgesamt ist die Insel so klein, dass fasst jeder Ort auf der Insel von der Unterkunft aus innerhalb von 15 Minuten erreichbar ist. Die Unterkunft hat insgesamt nur drei Zimmer. Wir hatten das Deluxe Zimmer in der obersten Etage gebucht, welches über zwei Terrassen verfügt. Das Zimmer war grandios. Besser geht es nicht. Ausreichend groß und durch die zwei Terrassen konnte man jederzeit entweder im Schatten oder in der Sonne sitzen. Der Ausblick war ebenfalls nicht zu überbieten. Ornella ist sehr bemüht und hat uns jeden Morgen mit einem tollen Frühstück überrascht. Es war abwechslungsreich und alles vorhanden. Auch hat sie uns gute Tips (Bootstour um die Insel mit verschiedenen Badestops/Rstaurantempfehlungen) gegeben und auch die Bootstour für uns gebucht und Tische im Restaurant reserviert.

Adorable, attentionnée,toujours aux petits soins. Le petit moment d'échange lors du petit déjeuner....d'ailleurs ! Parlons du petit déjeuner .... EXCEPTIONNEL le cheescake à tomber par terre 🥧🥧🥧 Les chambres propres et décorées avec goûts tout en restant typiques. Un clin d'œil à jūlian 🐯🐯🐯🐯 notre petite mascotte. Struttura molto bella e curata, menzione particolare per i proprietari: la splendida, disponibilissima e piacevole Ornella ed il principe Giuliano. Abbiamo trascorso un piacevole soggiorno, in una location accogliente e pulitissima. Raccomandato!

I loved how clean it was and that it had everything I needed. It also had a stunning view of the valley.

The property itself was great no complaints, location is a bit out of the way from the center but with Bolt you can get to any part of the island.

Obiekt spełnił każde z naszych oczekiwań, a nawet je przewyższył! Ornella na prawdę się stara aby pobyt jej gości przebiegł beztrosko. Czuliśmy się jak na wakacjach u dalekiej rodziny, codziennie serwowane są pyszne śniadania i deser. Podczas dnia do dyspozycji gości jest basen z pięknym widokiem. Zaraz obok obiektu znajduje się sklep spożywczy, ok. 20 minut pieszo plaża Ramla Bay, a 15 min pieszo miejscowość portowa w której można wypożyczyć rowery czy spróbować nurkowania. Mały rynek Xaghry, przy którym jest kilka restauracji, też jest niedaleko. Zaraz pod obiektem znajduje się również przystanek autobusowy, a w przypadku ubera, już za 9€ można dojechać w każde miejsce na wyspie. Zdecydowanie polecam pobyt u Ornelli!

We had Rosemary room on the top floor (Deluxe Double Room) that was basically whole floor to ourselves. Great thing are two two terraces on each side of the building. Smaller one is looking towards the street but since it is the top floor, it allows for privacy. Large terrace leads from the bedroom and looks over the green valley and villages on the opposite hills. Du to East - West orientation, one is always sunny, while other has some shade. Large bedroom has wardrobes, almost a walk-ins by the size, and a desk. Two large glass doors leading to terrace allow for a lot of light, and it is easily aired. Doors have nets so no bugs and mosquitos can get into the room. Bathroom is spacious and clean, with a lot of amenities. Room has a mini fridge, and Ornella (the owner) keeps it well stocked with soft drinks, sparking water, beer and wine, with roughly the same prices as in bars around the island. Breakfast was very tasty, usually a plate of cheese, meat and vegetable cuts, along with large selection of pastries, cakes, fruit etc. Ornella adapted the breakfast to our dietary needs. Buffet differs from day to day, and it never disappointed. B&B is located half way between Marsalforn and center of Xaghra, and about same distance from Ramla beach. It is 30 minutes walking to each spot, or several bus stops. Busses are running on timetable, but plan ahead if you use them because you'll usually need to change at least one line - to reach most interesting parts of Gozo you'll need under on hour. Alternative - use a taxi or rent a scooter or a bike. If renting a bicycle, consider that Gozo has a lot of hills. Closest bus stop is few minutes away, as well as a well stocked mini market. Ornella was great host, giving us a lot of info about island and its habits, along with making great coffee and cakes for breakfast. Recommended, especially if you use your own form of transport.

Great location as a base to explore Gozo, very close to Ggantija temple and Ramla Bay. Ta’Giljan is a very well-kept and clean property with amazing valley views and a lovely terrace with swimming pool. Ornella is a wonderful host, she makes you feel very welcome from the moment you step through the door - and she cooks the most delicious breakfasts! We really enjoyed our stay with Ornella and thoroughly recommend staying at Ta’Giljan.
