B&B Het Rode Hert

This small B&B is part of someone's home; your suite will be on the top (3d) floor. You look out over the garden and the alley below. The host is very friendly and welcoming. He suggested a good place for dinner, and it turned out to be the oldest restaurant in the Netherlands. The food was great. The host brought a wonderful Dutch breakfast up to our suite in the morning and stayed (at our request) to talk a bit about the town. We had a very nice visit here.

"Didn't like" is not what I would say. The guest suite is cram-packed with things, the collections of a long life. I would have preferred clearer spaces. The stairs are typical for an old house -- narrow and steep. The host was gracious about hauling our luggage up and down.

De accommodatie (slaapkamer-woonkamer-badkamer) was geweldig en het ontbijt was uitstekend, en de ligging ervan binnen Doesburg was ook zeer gunstig (pal in het historische centrum).

Jammer dat er geen televisie was, maar niet onoverkomelijk. De koelkast functioneerde niet heel goed.

We sliepen op zolder en de dag welke we hier verbleven was het 33C. Dus boven was het niet zo koel. Gelukkig was er een ventilator die verkoeling bracht.
