"Great accommodation and lovely host"

Hennie is a wonderful host and she is such a lovely lady and very friendly. When I arrived and met the other guests (4 lovely ladies from Belgium) she provided cake with our coffee/tea! She served up a great breakfast (eggs, cold meats, cheese, bread) etc and also sat with the guests as well which was lovely. She would provide helpful information about Hoorn and the local area. Yes the stairs are steep but I understand that nearly all Dutch houses are similar! Nothing was too much trouble for Hennie - she offered to lend me her bicycle but even with the saddle at its lowest my legs were still too short! She even gave me a lift to the train station on the Sunday morning as buses are a bit infrequent into town. Great place - would recommend to anyone. However if you don’t drive then the walk into Hoorn takes around 30 minutes or you can get the bus (No 133) which are every half an hour.

"Such a beautiful Home, worthy of a weekend getaway."

We LOVED the location and our Hosts were so nice. Room and Bath extremely clean, breakfast superb. We chose 'nice and quiet', and if only visiting Hoorn it is perfect. Such a lovely home. We wish we'd have planned for 1 more day. If you have a busy Amsterdam schedule, the 1hr trip each way can be daunting.

"Good for seniors"

It’s a grandma house literally. On the second breakfast were served some leftovers from previous. The host joins the breakfast and I didn’t like how she talked in Dutch about emigrants… not nice atmosphere. The doors has cracks and you hear everything what is happening in the house. Old uncomfortable beds…

The breakfast was excellent. Also the kitchen upstairs where we could make hot drinks.

We did not have an en suite bathroom Had to go across the landing to our own private bathroom

"Nice stay in Hoorn"

Hennie is very nice and wonderful host. She knows a lot about Holland, Hoorn, Amsterdam and is a great help at planning what to do. The place is clean. I liked the kitchen, so I could have some coffee and dinner by myself.

Room was spacious and immaculately clean. Hennie was so helpful and interesting to visit with. Made us feel at home immediately. The location was convenient to neighborhood grocery stores and not far from the city centre.The Dutch breakfast was delicious and plentiful. A 10 rating for sure
