Pension B&B Dodeman

She was kind enough to call a cab for us occasionally.

This B&B was a disappointment. If you don't speak French, forget it. You have a bedroom in the house and other than breakfast there is no place to sit and relax inside or outside. When we were there, we stayed in our room.. The room was dated and the bed was uncomfortable. We couldn't get the TV to work. There was no view. We came home from touring to find the bedroom window open and the curtain pinned back with a clothespin so she could access the clothes line. We shared the bathroom with the owners and were told when we got there no showers until after her husband at 7 a.m. The bathroom is very dated. No toiletries provided. The residents' soap, washcloths, and other toiletries were left on the sink and in the shower. A twisted-up washcloth on the soap dish in the shower/tub was there both days. Breakfast was either a piece of bread and butter or a pastry with coffee. (There was jam too). The house is about a 20-minute walk uphill from the port and it is not accessible. We took taxi Bob to most places.

Milieu accueillant, très propre,petit frigo disponible au besoin, baguette fraîche du matin, information touristique disponible, règles de fonctionnement claires.

Seulement préciser aux touristes qu’il faut monter plusieurs rues pour y accéder. Endroit calme.

Accueil très agréable de madame Dodeman, qui m’a également amené en voiture à l’aéroport tôt le matin. Très bon petit déjeuner.

Our host at Dodeman was very friendly and helpful. The place is spotless clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is a delicious traditional French breakfast: fresh croissants and baguette, lovely jams. Normally we would have had to share a bathroom with other guests, but there were no other guests.

Be aware of the walking in Saint-Pierre in general - lots of up and down hill. It is only level along the Harbour Street. Not an issue if you are young, not an issue if you don't have wonky knees or back.

Nice location within walking distance to the restaurants. Host was extremely friendly & accommodating. House was very clean & well maintained
