Puka Heights

Angie & Warren couldn't have been better hosts. Everything was spotlessly clean and the added extras were a great treat. Loved being up in the bush setting and a lovely haven to come back to after exploring Pauanui.

Puka Heights certainly exceeded our expectations. The room was very comfortable and clean, modern and very homely. It was easy to make our own breakfast. There were tea and coffee making facilities. Angie and Warren were great hosts, they were available if we needed them. Warren kindly made a recommendation and reservation for dinner in Pauanui for us. The views at Puka Heights are exceptional. It's a bit of a drive up the hill but definitely worth it. ( make sure you follow the instructions and carry on past the hotel. You can still walk to the lovely beach if you wanted to. We hired a car and tended to use that to go into the centre of Pauani. There were lots of lovely snacks, tea, coffee, fruit provided. Plenty of toiletries, lots of towels. I could do my washing. There was everything you could want and more. We hope to return to NZ and will definitely stay at Puka Heights again and explore the Coromandel Penisula.

We liked everything!

Angie and Warren take hospitality to the next level with such a warm welcome and helpful advice about local amenities. The room was lovely and spacious with a great view down to beautiful Pauanui beach. The thoughtful extras made it very special, from the sunscreen with beach towels to the lovely bowl of fruit, strawberries and chocolate plus loads of extra snacks.

Room was very comfortable and included everything you'd expect.... and much more. Hosts were exceptional and I wish we were able to spend more time there.

Was all great, the only thing to be mindful of is the windey driveway to the property. Saying that, we were towing a tandem trailer and still made it.

Absolutely amazing hosts, beautiful view from the room, very calm location - marvelous stay!
