Diletta Oasi

Location is close to Old Town and meticulously maintained B&B.

Perfect breakfast, prepared with great care and hospitality. Very good location 150 m from Cathedral Sainte Agatha and 200 m from bus station. Museums and opera theatre are all around. Price is wonderfull.

The toilet and shower are outside the room, actually need to cross the common corridor.

The host was very rude and unprofessional

The toilet sit was a bit broken, but functional. The washing machine though was not :(

It's not a B&B. it's an apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms that are in the hallway. Basically it's a shared apartment. I can't access the description anymore, but I remember distinctly that it was mentioned that it's a two bedroom apartment, when I did the reservation. Imagine my surprise when I found out that I have a neighbour. I didn't stay one night. It's the first time in my life when I've done this because of the poor conditions and because I felt tricked by the description. I reached out to the host asking for a partial reimbursement. She became, what I perceive to be, aggressive.

I stayed 4 nights at Diletta Oasi. Very nice location. Diletta is very nice, very helpful, and full of information. Small BnB - just three rooms. Breakfast is okay, not great: a wide assortment of pastries, bread, cereal - all self serve that you can have whenever you want, but all cold and no fresh fruit. There was an unfortunate maintenance issue that required me to change to another of Diletta’s locations. A hassle, but Diletta handled this very professionally and made sure I was taken care of.

Small room - barely enough room to get my yoga mat down after I rearranged some furniture. No bedside table. I saw another room, and it was much more spacious and well equipped. I somehow thought I had my own bathroom when I booked, but there are two (men’s/women’s) shared bathrooms (and not many people so okay) The only flat spot to set up a laptop and work is in the breakfast area. Location/cleanliness/service gets a 10; the room gets a 6.

Terrible experience !!!! I could not check in. As mentionned by others guests, it's not clear in the description that no-one is there, neither proprietaria, neither an employee. The place is enclosed and unwelcoming, nothing like the pictures. I wish I had taken pictures that you feel the bad wibe, but at this point I really believed I would stay there. But how is it possible this hotel which is not an hotel but a crapy appartment in a crapy building converted into a pension, hosted by ...who knows? but certainly poeple who live far, are not there, don't work professionally, you're disturbing if you call, and the whole communication was agressive and misplaced from first sentance. How is it possible to do this work?

I could not reach the host neither by phone or email. After waiting alone, under the rain and being completly weight I left looking for an alternative. What else was I supposed to do? When I finally manage to speak over the phone, the host was upset and rude to me, like I was disturbing her. She didn't care a second for my situation or tried to make it up to me, instead she treated me a liar and yelled at me I was a stupid person !?!? I was looking for checking in, why would I make up this story? I cancelled my booking and recieved zero refund from host, of course that the only thing that matters to these poeple, who have no idea what is hospitality and assistance to visitors. As an answer, she sent offensive messages like "god knows you're lying" or again "God helps you, you will need it"....Who does that? Reading with more attention the reviews, other guests had to leave and complain about her bad attitude too, contrasting very much with the positive comments that come first. Very strange. From there, it was clear I was dealing with a disturbed lost person filled with agressivity, poor one! I will put a claim like the other guests for bad assistance and offensive attitude. The worst experience on the booking plateform, and beyond.

The breakfast was good

I would like to thank Diletta for her hospitality and all useful information about what to see and do in Catania and around. Tastefully decorated rooms in the apartment and fully equipped kitchen create a cozy and homelike feeling. Diletta Oasi is very close to Piazza Duomo and main sights of Catania as well as bus station and not far away from railway station which makes it perfect place for discovering Catania and the region.

Some noise may come from the outside however it is quiet during the night.

House is fully equipped. The bed is wide and "over decorated" (with lights, hanging curtains, many pillows, etc.). The entry should be ok for anybody - it is clearly explained by Diletta. The toilet is equipped with toilet, place to wash your butt. Shower is very nice. The water is warm and works the way it should. For breakfast the food is only sweet - so eg. Nutella, jam, joghurts, sweet buns and other Italian delicacies. Unfortunately there is nothing salty (so I have bought myself a pack of cold cuts for my breakfast).

That we misunderstood about car parking and I had to pay 15€ per day for parking it
