Varenna Guest House

Sunny studio apartment with large windows and view of the lake. Very convenient to both the train station and the lakeside walkway. Nicolò was very helpful and there was a useful booklet left at the apartment for how to work all of the equipment. The bed was very comfortable.

We didn't love the 10:00 a.m. checkout time.but we had the use of the secure luggage room until we were ready to head to the train station, so it was no problem.

Very comfortable and cosy room for our stay, had all the amenities needed. Super comfortable bed, large TV with Netflix and the location was just incredible. We had Mountain View’s and could hear the stream from our window which we loved. Couldn’t be closer to the ferry port and train station which has regular trains into Milan! Also a great little mini mart opposite which sells all kinds of snacks, breakfast, drinks and so on! The house manager Nicolo was great and super responsive on WhatsApp regarding any questions we had. Would definitely stay back here!

Nothing bad about the property itself, however it seemed that one of the apartments above were doing some sort of works so there was some banging going on in the morning but that is out of the control of the owners and did not create an unpleasant stay for us!

Fantastic location, a short walk downhill from the station. The owner met us at the station and accompanied us to the accommodation. Great service. was able to whats app him to ask questions etc.

Location. Very scenic...mountains, lake, garden, river views. Big & comfortable. Nice master shower! Sauna and jacuzzi were bonus, but we did not have time to use. Master bed was comfortable.

Cleanliness could have been better. I had to clean all the main bedroom drawers using the antibacterial wipes that I brought with me. The toilet bowl was dirty; there was a toilet brush but no cleaning supplies. The bed upstairs was not comfortable; it was too hard/firm. The furniture upstairs was too old/outdated so it made the upstairs room feel spooky.

The location was literally perfect in almost every way. There was a grocery store with a coffee shop right around the corner just steps away. The distance to the water shuttles was about a 4 minute walk, the distance to the train station was about a 7 minute walk away. The apartment itself was absolutely perfect in every way. The lighting, the facilities, the cleanliness and most importantly the staff support! Nicolo, the property manager was OUTSTANDING. He gave us so many recommendation and never hesitated to respond to our messages. Nicolo really made our trip much more successful and pleasurable just by being available and providing really great advice, suggestions, and taking care of any need we had. Really can't emphasize our satisfaction enough, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this property. You will have a WONDERFUL experience in Varenna!

I can't think of a single thing that could have been better! Everything was so well laid out, clean, and the support of the staff was just OVER the TOP. COMPLETELY EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!

Location is great, since everything is within walking distance. The bathroom was great (but it does have a very narrow entrance to the shower, had to go in facing the wall). You can clarly hear the water running ln the canal to towards the lake if your window is open, which I found very soothing. Also, there is luggage storage for after check-out hours

The shower entrance is quite narrow, had to walk in facing the wall (sliding to the side).
