Podere La Contessa B&B

The owners are wonderful women! The house is set in a gorgeous garden in the hills, amazing views of the city. Breakfast was lovely. The room comfortable. It is too expensive for what it is.

Beautifully renovated property tucked away on a hillside.

A lovely place for those with a car or very ambitious hikers. It's high, high above Prato, and very peaceful. A small villa, with orchards, a winding, switch back drive, and entrance gates, provides peace and privacy. The two charming sisters, Sara and Simona, who were our hosts (as well as the gracious and friendly gardener Ivano) were gracious and helpful. They are committed to their guests' comfort and enjoyment of the sites in this area of Tuscany. Our room was amazing - large, well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and a luxurious spa-like bath, with soaking tub and large shower. The breakfast was delightful and could be served on the terrace overlooking the city of Prato, the river, and the Tuscan hiils. A great base from which to visit Florence.

We had hoped to visit Florence during our one-day stay at the podere, but that proved not feasible. On our next visit, on a couple of days, we will drive from the podere to Prato, park at the train station, and take the train into Florence, For those without a car, a taxi is possible from the podere.

I liked everything, the location, the comfort and the staff. this is one of the best places we have stayed.

The only thing I didn’t like was that I had to leave here!

The location is very convenient for visiting Florence Continental breakfast is served at the property. Simona and Sara are extremely helpful, advised where to park the car or eat out in Florence. I received the instructions how to find the keys but still couldn't find them. Simona arrived to help me out at 12:30 pm on Saturday evening. No charge for late check in.

So...hear me out : imagine an old italian villa, fully renovated and decorated with the most amazing things, up on a hill, with a private street, with no neighbors or traffic, in the middle of an olive forest, managed by an italian family. The pictures do not tell the full story of this place...

Breakfast was a bit dull...but the location of this place beats anything...

Wonderful hosts, Simone and Sarah, the cleanliness of the house, pretty location setup with lots of flowers and a vegetable and fruit garden. They were so kind to offer to get us our dinner since we arrived so late with a baby <3
