Evergreen

I made the best choice with Evergreen and I am very grateful to meet such a great and educated people. Dr. Sena and his wife Mrs. Ranjini are the most hospitable people I met in Sri Lanka. Inspiring long talks with great tips for trips, perfect breakfast and dinner, quiet room with stunning view… I found here everything I needed (and even more). I can only say that the bar was set very high at the beginning of my travels… I will never forget the best omelette from Mrs. Ranjini, if you like spicy food, it is a must.

I had a wonderful stay at Evergreen. It’s on a village on the outskirt of Kandy and from the moment I stepped out of the Tuk Tuk, I was greeted very warmly by my hosts and felt very welcome. They very kindly offered me some Tea and cakes which was a very nice touch and I really appreciated it after a long travel from Ella. I had dinner there as well and had some fantastic food prepared by Ranjini. I have really enjoyed how attentive Ranjini and her husband were to make my (short) stay in Kandy worthwhile. They helped arranging a tuk tuk and an itinerary to see the main sights of Kandy in a record timing. I also really enjoyed the great discussions with my hosts (Ps : I made it to the top of Lion’s rock :)) I’d really recommend for anyone looking for a home stay, fantastic experience. This has been my favourite accommodation so far in Sri Lanka. The owners are the nicest people, so friendly and helpful and really made my time in Kandy. They made me feel like I was part of the family and welcomed me into their home, I ended up extending my stay because I loved it so much. The breakfast was delicious everyday and I was lucky enough to have a vegetarian feast cooked for me which was amazing! Highly recommend staying here!

nothing, I wish I could have stayed longer!

the owners are adult couple of very intelligent people, who were speak fluently English who you can discuss various things with and they werevery kind to me. they own gorgeous garden with big trees, that is why the place called Evergreen. it was really a pleasure to stay there and the only sad is cause i didn't have more time to stay there and that i had to work the only day i had in Kandy. i definitely recommend this place for those who want to stay in a quite comfortable house. owner is a friend of the closely located restaurant where you can have nice dinner by very affordable price.

WIFI is not ideal, was breaking all the time, and loosing signal.

It's been a real treat. I made a reservation at the last minute and they opened their door with an open heart and a big smile. Incredible welcoming and plenty of good recommandation whatever you want to do in Kandy. They spoiled me with tea, biscuits and ice cream on arrival. I had also great talks with the couple. Moreover, fantastic value for money. The omelette in the morning is the best I had in Sri Lanka. So, if you want to stay in Kandy, go and stay with this family. They are just wonderful. I should have stayed longer !

We have greatly enjoy our stay at Evergreen. What to say we felt like home, a part of family. We have been constantly offered a tea or a snack, and the breakfast was indeed luxurious. Very good connection to WiFi. The owners are very lovely people, always happy to share advice about the locations of interesting places or for intriguing chat. We have greatly enjoyed their warm-welcome and hospitality. Highly recommended and we definitely will come back.

We loved our stay at Sena’s place. It felt like we were at our relatives’. Unfortunately we stayed for a short period of time but Sena gave us a lot of useful information about getting around Kandy and helped us organize a scooter which actually made our trip possible and let us leave the bag during our ride. Thank you dear friend ❤️

I enjoyed the 4days authentic staying with Dr Sena and Ms Ranjini. A very kind and helpfull couple who give good tips in and out Kandy. Try defenitly the homemade evening meal and get to know a bit of Sri Lanka bye them.
