Casa de la Cuesta has a very magical atmosphere. It is authentic and comfortable. The rooms are comfortable, large and each room has its own u pique charm. The owner is friendly and helpful and his mask museum is a must see. The staff members are friendly and attentive.

Everything! Amazing host, stunning views, comfortable room, delicious breakfast.

The host is wonderful and a huge help at booking dinners and arranging transport. Spectacular rooms and buildings decorated with Mexican folk art. Definitely take the mask museum tour while you are there. The breakfast was delicious (yogurt, fruit, toast, and some kind of egg dish). Note that it is served at a set time and all guests around one big table which we enjoyed.

It’s a steep climb up a cobblestone hill from town - wear flat shoes.

Bill was a wonderful host. He and his team made us feel that their home was our home for the week. They recommended a number of outings and restaurants to nearby, all of which we enjoyed. The mask museum on site is amazing, and the casa filled with folk art.

The suite close to the road is a little noisy at night, but other rooms are serene.

Wow, wow, wow! Casa de la Cuesta is truly exceptional, a remarkable place to stay and I can only echo the comments left by others. Bill and the team are incredibly welcoming and supportive - really great hosts. The casa itself is amazing, quiet and relaxing with different spots for hanging out: the garden, the viewpoint, the inner courtyard - as well as those amenities across each of the 7 rooms - and with the mutliple crafts and paintings on display. Breakfasts are substantial and delicious - and will keep you going until well into the afternoon! Bill is a fountain of knowledge on Mexican culture - make sure you join the daily tour of the on-site mask museum! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Bill and the team, thank you so much for making our stay in SMA so special. We hope to be back soon.
