B&B Gerlachus

I loved every part of my stay here. The location was far enough away to be peaceful at all times, but close enough to everything I wanted to explore. The breakfast each morning was bountiful and diverse. And the garden setting was just wonderful. Coffee, orange juice, pastries/toast, meats and cheese, egg, yogurt, muesli, etc. Really well presented. The room was comfortable for me as I was travelling alone, but even as a couple there was plenty of room and seating. The decor and art around the hallway and room was wonderful as well. If you are mobility impaired, the stairs may present an issue, so just be aware. The absolute best part of the stay is Annigje and Alexander, the hosts. They are very welcoming and will interact with you as much or as little a you would like. For this part of my trip, I was traveling solo so I welcomed the company. I was here to visit the Netherlands American cemetery in Margraten, and I had opportunities to swap stories with them and their family memories. We stayed up late talking into the evening about all sorts of topics and it was very refreshing. As an American in a rural Dutch village, it was great to be able to converse in English, as their English is A+. I would not hesitate to stay here again when one day I return with my family. Although I use Airbnb frequently, this stay is an.actual.Bed and Breakfast with hosts in their own home, like the good old days.

There wasn't much that I didn't like. As I mentioned, some people may be put off by the stairs, but it is very common in most of Europe to save space, and only an American would find them odd 😀.

Tolle Lage für Ausflüge nach Maastricht (Bahnhof in 2 Minuten erreichbar) und Valkenburg (auch zu Fuß möglich). Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und darauf bedacht, dass sich alle wohlfühlen. Liebevolles Frühstück im Garten, schön eingerichtet und alles da, was man braucht :)

Very welcoming hosts. Breakfast was fantastic. Overall stay was very enjoyable.

Wij werden gastvrij onthaald en voelden ons gelijk thuis. Twee nachten hebben we gebruik gemaakt van de gastvrijheid van Annigje en Alexander. Op een mooie locatie waar je binnen een kwartier met het ov in Maastricht bent. Grote, ruime kamer. Heerlijk ontbijt. Gezellig praatje bij de koffie. Leuke verhalen over het pand en haar verleden. En een leuk boekje met leuke verhalen over de eerste zes jaren van de B&B. We komen zeker terug!

Eerlijk gezegd niets

Wat een gezellige boel! Schitterende ontvangst en ruimte voor een ontspannen babbel. We voelden ons direct welkom. Heel ruime kamers. Intieme, huiselijke sfeer.

Heerlijk bed, bad en ontbijt en wakker worden met vogelgeluiden, zalig!!
