Hoeve de Snippert

A different review because I was intrigued as to why this place was receiving such a high Bookings.com rating when from first impressions it left me feeling lacking. To be fair what makes this place is the owners who go out of their way to make you feel special. The place itself can be summarized as follows: 1. This is a farm stay which is OK by me 2. The location is quiet and pleasant but it is a 10min drive to the nearest town 3. The room was clean and a reasonable size as well as light and airy 4. I had a bath and shower etc just off the bedroom 5. WiFi was available and had good reception 6. Despite its size the room was cluttered with suitcases on top of the wardrobe which was out of place 7. Tea and coffee making facilities were available 8. Car parking was available and free 9. A car type fridge was located in the passage for guests use with a selection of drinks 10. Breakfast was served in a hut approximately 30 metres from the main building. Previous reviews said this was quaint but l didn't think so as it was cold despite the owners attempts to heat it. The breakfast was very good 11. The cost of the accommodation was in my view overpriced. There was no TV which in fairness didn't bother me but was offered in similar places charging less. While I enjoyed my stay at this BnB there were somethings l found lacking and the breakfast facilities was one. The owners are lovely people and that is what makes this place special. I believe overall it is over rated at 9.5 and should be around 7.5 but that is purely my view.
