Bed & Brood De Vogelpoel

The room was spacious, clean and had all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was delicious and the host very friendly. But the highlight of the stay was meeting the adorable animals on the farm!

A wonderful country location within stone throw of lovely Wijk bij Duurstede. Breakfast is a good spread and sets you up well for the day. You can help yourself to coffee and tea in the breakfast room during the day. This is on top of the tea and coffee supplies in your room. Bed was big and comfortable. Bathroom was good size with option of standard shower or large head shower. The option to feed the Alpaca's is fabulous as it also gives you the chance to ask Walenka questions about the animals.

It would have been nice to have had soap for washing hands at the bathroom sink and sink in the seating area. As we were in a historic building it would have been nice to have information about it's history.

Very friendly and helpful family hosts! We loved the rustic feel of the restored farmhouse. Lovely breakfast! Warm, comfortable, clean and welcoming.

The bedrooms were VERY big, beautifully decorated, with high wooden beams, a very comfortable bed and a very peaceful environment, located close to town. Breakfast was complete. Highly recommend this place.

It was quiet

Did not have the feeling that the bedding was clean. Pillows uncomfortable. The room was too light (no curtain on skylight). Breakfast room was totally airless.

This B&B is charming. Nicely situated on a farm complete with some less common farm animals. Check in was seamless but definitely tell them when you're likely to arrive to make sure they can meet you. Our room was lovely and then whole building has been beautifully renovated to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay. I only wish we had been there longer.

Breakfast was well prepared and waiting for us which was great, but being English I would have liked some milk for my cup of tea!
