Sherpa Home Hotel

Authentic design, great location close to Monkey temple. Staff was very friendly, helpfull and gave me a perfect introduction to Nepalese culture. Willing to come back to Nepal.

The hotel is just beautiful. The rooms and everything is so nicely decorated. The space downstairs is very cosy as is the awesome roof top terrace which has indoor and outdoor space and a great view. The hotel is a very quiet, georgeous get away from the very hectic city. Everyone was really friendly and supportive. They helped us organize our next steps. The bed was one of the cosiest we had during our Nepal travel and the room was super quiet, so we slept very well. Breakfast and dinner were delicous! We would definitely come again!

Besides being a beautiful, authentic, well thought out place with a kind and caring staff, I ate every meal here and they were all delicious.

Dolma was very helpful. The food was good. It's a comfortable place to stay. I enjoyed the common areas. Walkable to Swoyambu and other attractions.

As is the case in most places in Kathmandu, hot water for showers was unreliable. It is common as almost everywhere uses solar hot water heaters.
