From the moment one enters the foyer of The Palacete Encante Maior, with its murmuring fountain, one is offered a unique experience. The original construction of the Palacete spans several centuries. Mindful of its history, the building has been carefully restored, while still integrating modern conveniences, including air conditioning. Gracious proprietors, Rosalia and Steve, are proficient in several languages, and have a vast knowledge of Campo Maior, and the surrounding area.

The bedroom and bathroom were extremely dark at night, which was great for sleeping, but a bit difficult to navigate when the nightly urge became necessary to take care of. A nightlight might be a good idea.
