Southland Organic Farmstay

Alison and Grant were very gracious and friendly. The breakfast was great, and the room was very comfortable. The farm was very pretty.

Location was a bit off the beaten path, but worth the drive for us. Bathroom window didn’t have a shade or privacy glass (but the sheep in the adjacent field weren’t too nosy.

The tranquility of being surrounded by beautiful views and garden on a farm. Meeting the friendly owners and having breakfast before our departure.

Alison and Grant are super-friendly people, very kind and down-to-earth, and made us feel very welcome. The bed was comfortable, the room was lovely and warm, and chatting with them over homemade muesli and coffee in the morning was really homely.

We didn't realise that the room was actually a part of the house - so the noise of folks opening/closing doors, smells from the kitchen, a toddler crying early in the morning, were all part of a mix that you might expect from actually staying in someone's house, but which we weren't expecting.

A lovely stay in a lovingly kept home and farmstay. Lovely truly authentic folk happy to go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Even when the weather wasn't playing ball it was a stand out experience. Awesome hosts showing true "Southland hospitality"
