We spent 3 days at Ricardo and Nina's place, everything was perfect, the food, the location, the beautiful nature in the surroundings... The food they serve is very good and I suggest everyone to try it :) We are sorry that we didn't stay more days, but now knowing how much is good at Badebike, we are sure that we will come again to Nina and Ricardo, they are a wonderful family ❤️ Thank you for everything!

The vibe and energy of the place and the family is exactly what we look for when staying at guest homes. Nina, Ricardo and Manoela are amazing people that made us feel welcomed into their home. The shared kitchen, courtyard and terrace are just amazing. A lovely oasis to hang out, meet other guests and talk to the family. Breakfast is what is called an English breakfast in Europe. Fresh yogurt, granola, local bread, jams, butter, coffee, meats and cheeses. You can request local eggs for a very small price. Kitchen comes stocked with beer, wine and stuff to make cocktails, espresso machine. All for an extremely reasonable price. You can buy your own stuff at a local market and store in the fridge. Ricardo is an amazing cook. Ask the day before and you WILL NOT be disappointed with dinner. Local food and everything cooked perfectly. In fact we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary while there and the only place we wanted to have dinner was at their home. Ask them for recommendations for places to visit and things to do. We went to a beach, coffee shops and bars that you just wont find on google and TripAdvisor. When we return to Obidos this is only place we a staying.

Everything! We loved the comfort of the room and the tranquility of the garden.

Upon our arrival after a long journey, Ricardo prepared the best risotto dinner we have ever experienced. Our room (with private entrance) was decorated with bright, charming folk art. Nina was always available, providing stellar breakfasts and suggestions for exploring the beautiful beaches and countryside. (On our next trip we will take a bike ride with bikes which are offered.) But the best part was enjoying getting to know Nina and Ricardo!

The owners were very hospitable and very helpful discovering things about the area and where to eat though Ricardo did some excellent evening meals. They also provided electric bike hire if you should so wish. There were good walking routes for walkers and also for birdwatchers in the area especially sea birds.

Temperatures can be cold in February certainly whilst we were there and building insulation is not what you have in new properties in UK.

Ricardo and Nina were so welcoming (they were both born to be in hospitality) - they did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. We felt like we were part of the family / place. It was so peaceful where we were … with east access to Obidos.

It was all good.
