Good for a short layover, owner offers airport pick up and drop off for the same cost as a taxi.

I like the owners: kind people who make an effort to help their guests. I don't think they speak much English. It's my third time staying there. It's a little farther from the new airport and they'll pick you up if you ask in advance. The room and bathroom are basic and spotless, and include fans to combat Lima's heat. The shower always has hot water.

The neighborhood is a typical, ugly neighborhood, but that doesn't matter much because taxis drop you off at the door.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr einfach, aber sauber. Wir wurden vom Flughafen abgeholt und am nächsten Tag wieder hingebracht. Die Leute sind sehr freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut.

Derzeit wird am Flughafen gebaut, sodass man nicht zum Hostel laufen kann, sondern mit dem Taxi einen weiten Umweg fährt. Das wird sich aber ändern sobald die Metro eröffnet wird. In der Umgebung des Hostels sollte man nach Ausagen der Taxifahrer nicht im Dunkeln herumlaufen. Alles ist sehr hellhörig, aber mit Ohrstöpseln okay. Das Fenster geht zum Treppengaus, wo nachts das Licht ständig an und aus geht. Die Gardinen dunkeln nur zum Teil ab. Eine Schlafmaske wie im Flugzeug kann hilfreich sein.

The people who run this hostel are extraordinary.

L’établissement était propre, chambre mignonne, couchage confortable et salle de bains-toilette propres. Le gérant s’est montré très arrangeant quand mon taxi prévu n’est pas venu. Il a été tout de suite disponible pour m’emmener à l’aéroport.

Le quartier ne semble pas des plus sûrs, le plus déplaisant a été la musique dans la rue jusqu’à très tard (2-3h du matin) et le chant répété des coqs chez le voisin juste en face de la chambre très tôt le matin. J’ai très peu dormi !
