The location is fine, that's it

The room was dirty and not prepared, the attendant was very ugly, no service at all, no emergency water and power supply, we had cut off and didn't have water and electricity for almost the whole day. Choose any, but that place!

Didnt like anything about this place and unfortunately, traveling in a budget, paid everything in advance, booking didnt help with support and I had to spend 3 horrible nights in this place FULL OF MOLD. This place shouldn’t be available to host anyone before fix a lot of things.

Its all dirty, full of mold and doesnt give even the basic for the bathroom. Its really disgusting, couldn’t stay inside during the day, had ti sit outside of the room for many hours, just getting in to bath/sleep. Got sick in the second day, sent a message to booking, cause originally it was not the room that I booked, but no one replied. Since the minute I got in, I felt the smell of mold. The AC its supper dirty and the bath has mold everywhere.

The location is wise, considering it's in the center but the room is not. They don't have a free toiletries and the towel is hard as a used rag tho it's acceptable considering the price but yeah it's not that clean and accommodating. It's not cold as well. I think the bed is not clean.

The room

R&D Island Lodge provides an excellent base for exploring Bantayan Island, thanks to its prime location near markets, beautiful beaches, and food vendors. The staff, especially Laica, were incredibly helpful, allowing us to cook in the kitchenette so we could enjoy local delicacies like Buwad. Rebecca, presumably the owner, was also very communicative, which eased my mind while traveling solo. During my stay, I particularly enjoyed Kota Beach, which is just a short distance away. The proximity to local street food vendors was a delightful bonus, allowing me to indulge in authentic flavors. Additionally, renting a motorbike was easy—just ask Laica for assistance. Overall, my experience at R&D Island Lodge was fantastic, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty and culture of Bantayan Island!

While the property description mentioned a TV, I found that it wasn't a major concern for us since we were too busy enjoying all the activities and exploring Bantayan Island. We focused on indulging in local experiences rather than watching television. Overall, our time was filled with adventures, making the lack of TV a minor detail in an otherwise fantastic trip!
