B&B Villa Il Poggiolino

I must resonate the very positive reviews from other travelers (we stayed 6 nights in Jul/Aug 2023). The villa is placed on a hill surrounded by astonishing views of Tuscany countryside. Yes, you need to climb by car through narrow and steep streets of the village to reach it, but nothing a car could not handle :) The owners, as mentioned several times, were very nice, welcoming and helpful with advice where to go, what is worth visiting, where to find nice restaurants, etc. A great kudos to them - they know what a perfect service is about. The villa and the rooms are furnished with taste and style, they're clean and cozy, with AC and a small fridge, comfortable beds, own nice bathroom - all you need to feel comfortable. The outdoor swimming pool is great, the terrace or dining room where breakfast was served are charming. All tidy and well kept. Be aware the B&B is primarily purposed for guests really only needing 'a bed and breakfast' - but otherwise plan to travel around to very many great places in Tuscany, having the villa as their home-base. You can breakfast (which you always book the night before), but then there is no kitchen, no dishes or cutlery, or a kitchenette to prepare basic meals, so make sure you have your meals in the places you visit during the day, or that you buy and bring to the villa with you. The villa owners were totally fine lending whatever needed, but the place is simply not ready or purposed for own cooking or dining :) (we knew this and everything was fine). We didn't go to the local supermarket, but usually did our food shopping during our journeys in larger stores. Siece train station is just 6 minutes downhill by car and there was always enough space to park the car at the parking lot directly at the station, while it took about 20 min to get to Firenze main station. We used Trenitalia application to select connections and purchase tickets.

We loved our stay at Villa Il Poggiolino and the host was friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean, beds were comfortable, lovely décor throughout the house, delicious breakfast and beautiful views. It’s a perfect location for visiting Florence, only five minutes to the train station where the train will take you to Florence central in only 20 minutes. The pool was very cold, so only good for a quick dip.

Amazing views, extremely clean, the owner and Barbara very receptive and helpful. The house is very modern but with a Tuscan accent. I could not have asked for more!

A B&B can be easy reached by car and there is a train station 10 min from the property. It takes around 30 min to get to Florence. There are also a number of interesting places and things to do and around. The property is peacefully located in the middle of Tuscan hills. Lovely hosts. We were recommended a few great places to see and dine.

A variety of choices at breakfast, no mosquitos nets in windows. no bin in the room.

Very friendly host. I had best time and the host are very friendly and ready to help the guest. I felt I was with my family. I can not forget the host.

The location is a little from the city. You must have the car to visit there.
