Il Ghiottone Umbro was truly one of our favorite stays in Italy. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed — enjoying glasses of wine while gazing out over the incredible Umbrian views. The setting is absolutely breathtaking and feels like something out of a dream. And talking about dreams - we slept like babies - the beds are so cozy. We enjoyed breakfast every morning and it was some of the most amazing food during our stay. The grounds and rooms are lovely and every detail felt thoughtful. The location is also perfect — peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to easily walk into the beautiful town of Todi. Thomas and Elisabeth are such lovely hosts and made the experience feel warm, personal, and special. What a magnificent place to base yourself while exploring Umbria. We are already talking about a return someday soon. A truly special place.

This was an exceptional discovery in Umbria and we cant wait to come back. The breakfast is incredible, the views are magnificent and one feels immediately a beautiful disconnect and peace of mind.

The breakfasts were an amazing start to the day. I liked that it is not in the middle of town. Just a short walk to get where you need, but also easy to get on the road to hop between towns. Lisbeth and Thomas are wonderful hosts. Can't wait to return

Ein kleines Paradies mit toller Gastlichkeit und rührender Betreuung! Phantastisches Frühstück von Lisbeth und Thomas phantasievoll frisch zubereitet und serviert. Die Lage ist sehr gut (insbesondere für Autoreisende), für Lärmempfindliche Kann die Strasse unterhalb manchmal stören.

Virkelig skønt sted med gennemført sans for høj kvalitet. Helt exceptionel lækker morgenmad, der varierede fra dag til dag. Alt er frisk- og hjemmelavet, høj kvalitet, lækkert anrettet. Super værelse med fantastisk indretning - igen lækker kvalitet over hele linjen (sengetøj, produkter på badeværelse, teen) Skøn beliggenhed med udsigt over dalen. Kan gå op til hyggelige Todi. Også mulighed for at tage en gratis bus til og fra byen. Lisbeth og Thomas har skabt et helt fantastisk sted. Vi har rejst meget og dette sted er til dato, det mest enestående vi har oplevet.

The place is a hidden gem! We loved everything about it - fantastic breakfast, very close to town yet cosy and quiet. The hosts are very kind and attentive!

Il Ghiottone Umbro è un posto splendido ai piedi di Todi. Lisbeth e Thomas sono molto simpatici e sono bravissimi a preparare queste buonissime colazioni home made composte da uno yogurt con muesli, un piatto con le uova, un frutto, pane burro e marmellata e dolce home made. Ci ha anche dato una bottiglia di vino e degli snack per gustarci l’aperitivo con la vista sulle colline. Le camere con questi arredamenti scandinavi macchiati dalle ceramiche di Deruta qui è lí sono molto belli alla vista. Lisbeth e Thomas sono stati molto disponibili a suggerirmi posto dove mangiare fuori, come trattoria Cibocchi

Purtroppo mi aspettavo, vedendo la pagina Instagram, un posto dove poter mangiare qualcosina di gustoso che spesso loro stessi fanno vedere che cucinano. Invece abbiamo potuto fare solo un aperitivo con qualche snack gentilmente preparato da loro al momento. Mi sarebbe piaciuto provare uno di quei piatti, ma non è chiaro quando si può cenare da loro o pranzare. Un’altra piccola cosa è che bisogna tenere in considerazione che il posto non è completamente isolato in mezzo alla campagna Umbra. Stando vicino al parcheggio di Todi e ai piedi del borgo, anche quando ti godi la vista, il rumore delle macchina che passano lo senti lo stesso. Questo non toglie che è comunque un posto meraviglioso
