The Hill Residence

The fact that we only stayed 2 nights.

When we arrived, the elevator was being cleaned (important later). On our first day, we ordered some food through grab, after eating we put it back in the delivery bags and put it on the stovetop (there was no big bin), this brought out the ants which shouldn't be able to get to a room on the 8th floor. We then went to have a shower and the bathroom smelt absolutely horrendous, like it had never been cleaned. The following day, we asked to be moved to another room and we were.... The fridge was mouldy and there were ants again! We were then moved to a third room which was much better. It still had some ants, but not anywhere near the other two. Obviously there is an ant problem in this hotel. On the last night, I went downstairs and the elevator was being used to transport bags of trash. Not in a cart or anything just on the ground, which left bin juice everywhere...... Explains the elevator being cleaned I guess. To top it all off, the hotel is built on top of a massive hill so tuk tuk drivers aren't willing to drive up the hill.... This hotel is extremely unsanitary and should be avoided at all costs. The price DOES NOT justify the quality. There are much better hotels available for the same price. We asked for some form of compensation and they refused - probably because they have no money because of the very few people that stay here. 2/3 beds were also very old and had springs poking us.

The room is spacious and clean. The lovely staff. The clean Swimming Pool.

The Bed. 😢 Uncomfortable Sleep. I can feel the springs on it. A little recommendation: I think the management needs to improve the bed. Please make it comfortable for your guests. We stayed at RM: 505.

It was unclean and tired,dirty sheets and at the top of a very steep hill with no restaurant or bar

Big spacious room and nice bathroom

Wasn’t the best location as many tuktuk drivers would refuse to get up the hill or ask for more money. Bed was uncomfortable and there was a cigarette smell in the hallway and lift
