Green Hill Paradise Villa

The hosts were the most wonderful people we have met. They couldn’t do enough to help us and immediately made us feel at home. The location was so lovely! It’s a little out of Uluwatuna but easily accessible by tuk tuk, but it’s in the jungle where you can wake up to monkeys and peacocks roaming around. It’s so peaceful away from the busy road.

Thank you very much for a great holiday and help in a difficult situation. We canceled our travel reservation to Hikkaduwa. The owner of the booking reservation in Hikkaduwa acted rudely.

Quiet, green, helpful sweet managers, easy communication. Easy transport with own tuktuk. Good swimming pool....

Breakfast could be better, more special for that price ... ( more Sri Lanka options , croissants, honney, Nutella... ) . But is was very beautiful decorated . Noisy airconditioning.

We stayed at this guesthouse for 16 days. And I can say one thing, I felt at home. Everything was just fabulous! The owners Chira and Gaya are the kindest and nicest people I have ever met, they did everything possible for a comfortable stay at the hotel, at any time were in touch and helped if necessary. Once again, thank you so much for making my holiday more wonderful! Now about the guesthouse itself: it is a 15-minute walk from the turtle beach, a little on a hill. The view and nature are just incredible. The hotel area is not large but always tidy, there is a swimming pool where you can swim 24/7) (the owners take care of it every day, which is very nice). The room we stayed in had everything we needed: air conditioning, mini fridge, safe, beach towels. The room itself is very spacious and comfortable. Overall, the stay at the hotel was very nice and comfortable. I recommend everyone who visits Unawatuna to stay at Green Hills Paradise.

We had a fabulous few days at Green Hill Paradise Villa. Location is great as away from the hustle and bustle, but still an easy walk to the beach. Facilities were excellent and rooms were spotlessly clean. Hosts were very attentive and helpful and breakfast was delicious.

The host was super kind, super helpful and super attentive. We felt ourselves like kings family. I definitely recommend this place to others.

Probably the most welcoming and wonderful hosts you'll ever come across. Made our stay here even better than it would have been, just the best people. Always there for you if you need help and make amazing breakfasts with fresh local fruits. As for the villa itself. It's in a very nice location, close enough to the main road and beaches that you can walk but far away enough so it's nice and quiet. The room is very nice and spacious with a good working A/C and a comfortable bed. And the swimming pool is fantastic, it's bigger than I thought it would be from the pictures and (in our experience) not many people use it so it's like having a private pool. They also have a tuk tuk on site so if you need a lift somewhere they will take you for a reasonable fee.

This hotel is comfortable and in a quiet, serene location.

The hotel is overpriced for what it is. For this price, one would expect warm water and daily cleaning. Also, management was not transparent about pricing.

We are soooo happy we chose to stay at Green Hill Paradise Villa! Chira and Gaya are the best hosts imaginable and made us feel like family. Our two adjacent rooms were lovely — super clean, comfortable and spacious — and perfect for us travelling as a family. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented with every day a little surprise offering so no meal was ever the same. The infinity pool is fabulous with a gorgeous backdrop and we loved ending our days wallowing in the water listening to the sounds of monkeys chattering in the trees. Unawatuna is very close with some nice beaches and good restaurants but it’s also very busy and we were so glad we chose the peace and quiet of Green Hill where we slept like logs with only the sound of nature in our ears. Five days here and we loved every single second. The next time we visit Sri Lanka we will definitely stay at Green Hill again — it’ll be like returning home. We cannot recommend this place and our beautiful hosts more highly. This is Sri Lankan hospitality at its very best!
